Birthday

Hey Alan,

Just wanted to wish a happy 15th to the best little brother on earth. You are quite an interesting fellow, and you’ll definitely be someone great. I don’t think I know anyone else who is as smart and lazy as you are.

Your profound musical talent and haxor calculator programming skills continue to amaze me. You are quirky, funny, and wildly entertaining. I’m glad that you’re having such a great time in high school…seems like you’ve become quite a big hit.

I know this year was tough with my going to college and the house in constant shenanigans, but you hung in there and pulled through. I promise, high school is only going to get better from here (well, except the SAT and AP tests part).

I guess I’ll close with some words of advice. You know exactly what I am going to write, because I’ve told you before time and again. You can be the smartest person on earth, but without hard work, there is just no way to reach your full potential. Try your best in all you do, and don’t do it for your parents or for me. Do it for yourself, because you deserve it.

Happy 15th birthday.

Your big brother,

Glen
