What’s Up | 09/29/11

Ah. Sitting in the apartment, playing some Queen, making fun of the roommates (just James, actually).

It’s hard to believe how rarely I’ve been updating my blog these days. I apologize to my readers (like anyone reads my posts, anyway). But I’m also sorry to myself. I can do better.

So the past couple of weeks have been busy, but fun. Such is life. Took my first midterm of the semester for microeconomics. That went pretty well – I got some good studying in for that.

My classes have been going smoothly – I’m really liking most of my professors so far. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is that my classes have actually been, engaging.

Strange, I know. I thought Berkeley had top-notch teachers and awesome classes. You’d be surprised. There are quite a number of standouts, but sadly, that’s not the case for everyone.

My professors this time around have been interesting, know their stuff, and most importantly have been engaging the students. Lots of discussion and interaction, minimal reading off PowerPoints.

ABA has been going well. I have an awesome group of Cabinet members and officers. Events have been quite successful. It’s not easy being President, but I’m glad for the opportunity and I intend to follow through on a great semester.

Apartment life? Same old. After living in the Clark Kerr/Piedmont area for the past two years, I’ve really developed an attachment to the area. Even though it gets pretty loud, it’s where I can chill after a long day, and I appreciate that.

Oh, and I finally got sick. Will be resting up and drinking lots of water. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

That’s it for now. Stay tuned for some more posts. I have some catching up to do in terms of blogging.
