D.C. Trip 2012 – Day 1

Traveling to D.C. for five days to help out at an expo for my workplace. Looks like it’ll be a pretty busy week, but I’m looking forward to the eventful days and chill nights. Not sure how much sight-seeing and exploring I’ll get in, but I’ll make sure to share whatever I do experience here!

A total of five people from the office left Berkeley today around 2 PM. We flew into Chicago after 4 hours or so, ate a quick dinner, and caught a connecting flight to D.C.

By the time we got there, the time difference meant it was close to midnight, so we rented out a van and drove to our hotel, where I discovered that we each had a room to ourselves.

Pretty awesome, if I have to say so myself. Tomorrow’s a prep day – we’ll be buying some last-minute things for our exhibit and setting everything up.The next three days will be a mixture of working at the expo during the day and chilling/exploring during the evening.

That’s it for now! I’ll be up at 8 AM tomorrow, which is 5 AM on the West Coast, so going to sleep soon. Hopefully I’ll have some interesting stories/sights to share!
