Food Spotlight | The Sunny Side Cafe

Been saving this one – apparently, there are quite a few highly-rated breakfast cafes at Berkeley. The Sunny Side Cafe is the priciest that I’ve been to so far, but for the money, you are getting some good food.

Exhibit A: The Alameda, one of the cafe’s signature breakfast dishes. I don’t really know how to describe it, but let’s just say that it puts together every breakfast food imaginable into a delicious Franken-breakfast.

Wait, I just looked it up. Mushrooms, hickory smoked ham, roasted tomatoes and emmenthal cheese, sandwiched between two slices of French toast all topped with two eggs over-easy, Hollandaise sauce, and a balsamic reduction. In other words, massive food coma.

Definitely recommend the Alameda, but you can’t go wrong with any of their other breakfast offerings, either.
