“Whassup kids, the Ab is speaking from the moon.” – Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest

Don’t know why I put those lyrics up, but they sound pretty cool.

It’s been seriously some time since I’ve done a What’s Up post. At this point, I can only talk about the big picture and gradually just move on to my three-day weekend.

How’s life? Life is good. I left work at The Daily Cal this semester, which freed up twelve hours a week. Which I’ve promptly reallocated to ABA.

It’s definitely fun being External VP of such a large organization. Even though there’s a lot of things to be done, I feel that I’m learning so much. Talking to Alumni and getting to know the Cab peeps is pretty awesome, too.

School is swell. I’m settled into all my classes now. I can kind of tell how good my professors are, and so far, no major complaints (all rate a 10 on the DeLong scale).

Hands-down favorite class: my bicycle Decal. Every week, I learn something new about my bike. Which has also made me realize that I’ve done a pretty poor job maintaining my bike. Will work on that soon.

I joined an IM basketball team this semester (finally). Been wanting to since freshman fall, never got the chance. However, I have yet to play, since I couldn’t make the first game, and the game yesterday was canceled.

This weekend was an uber productive one.

Saturday was my catch-up day. Did a good amount of homework, started studying for midterms, and met up with my roommates from last year to enjoy Cheeseboard pizza.

Sunday, I helped file taxes for low-income families in Chinatown for ABA’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. I’d done it the year before, but it was still a good experience. The dim sum was delicious, too.

Today, I had brunch with my friend Ruth, did some intense studying for accounting (midterm in two days), and picked up my roommate James from the airport.

Today was such a beautiful day. It rained all last week, but the sun was out and shining, and seeing the clouds with the blue sky in the backdrop made me really happy.

So that’s about it. Will be studying late into the night. Laters.
