Dropbox

Over winter break, I came across a post on my big Justin’s blog about different kinds of tech and software. Dropbox was mentioned, and I decided to check it out.

My life has never been the same.

I may be exaggerating, but seriously, Dropbox is one of the most useful software that I’ve seen in a long time.

It’s basically a folder on your computer that syncs to the Internet and allows you to access your Dropbox files on any other computer with the software installed (you can also access your files on their website).

Think about it. You finish taking notes on your netbook, save it into your Dropbox folder, and voila! You can now access your notes on your computer at home, or on your smartphone, or on that shiny new iPad you got for Christmas.

No more flash drives, no more emailing files to yourself. And it’s secure and free – you get 2 GB free, which is plenty for Word docs, PowerPoints, plus some photos or songs.

What are you waiting for? Click here to download and start using Dropbox. I’ve gotten good feedback from friends who’ve tried it out already. Gotta thank Justin again for introducing this software to me.

Drag, drop, sync at randomtidbitsofthought.wordpress.com.
