There’s a consensus among Berkeley students that Great China is one of the best Chinese restaurants near campus. Located on Kittredge next to the California Theater, this restaurant is known for its variety and…Peking duck.
That’s right, Peking duck – something unheard of in the immediate area. And not just any old Peking duck, good Peking duck, cooked and prepared right, complete with the wrap, oyster sauce, and onions.
We shared the duck, and I ordered their Spicy Garlic beef lunch special. Pretty tasty, huge portions, slightly Americanized, but hey, I’m not complaining. I left feeling full and satisfied. Recommend.
