Food Spotlight | I.B.’s Hoagies

Yay! Another Yelp four-star Berkeley restaurant. My friend Vincent suggested that I try out I.B.’s Hoagies, located right next to the Asian Ghetto, as my latest Food Spotlight.

I.B.’s promises great East Coast-style cheesesteaks, and they also serve sandwiches, burgers, and fries. I ordered their classic Philly Cheesesteak, along with seasoned curly fries.

Let’s just say that I.B.’s was an excellent recommendation. The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious, the meat cooked just right, with fresh veggies and rich cheese. The curly fries weren’t bad either.

Compared to the cheesesteaks that the GBC serves, I.B.’s is tastier, less nacho-cheesy, and just…better. This place will definitely be a more frequent lunch stop for me in the future.

On a side note, if you guys have a place you’d like me to try out and write about, by all means, let me know! I’ve been to relatively few restaurants, since Berkeley is just filled with them. So recommendations are definitely welcome. I plan on checking out Thai Noodle sometime next week thanks to Anthony’s suggestion.
