Thoughts on School

I’m seriously doing everything possible to put off this paper. 8-10 page history research paper, to be exact. The one I need to do well on, in order to do well in the class.

But I’m sitting here in the Main Stacks library, pages opened, reading other people’s blogs, catching up with old friends. It’s horrible.

Something’s hit me. My first year of college is rapidly drawing to a close. I can’t believe it. Time travels in a paradoxical dimension when you’re having a blast.

I felt that it was only yesterday when I stared at the white walls of the huge building that was to be my dorm. At the same time, I feel that I’ve been in college for years.

It’s hard to explain why I feel this way, but I can guess that it has something to do with how much I love Cal and how happy I am to have gone to Cal over other choices.

It’s surreal, but in a few weeks, dead week will hit, finals will fly by, and then the endless possibilities of summer. And of course summer school. But it’ll be a fun and chill summer regardless.

Now back to my paper.

Tell Glen to stop getting distracted at randomtidbitsofthought.wordpress.com.
