What’s Up | 03/31/10

A lot of interesting things happened today. I’m just going to write whatever comes to my mind about April Fool’s Eve.

I got my UGBA test back today, the one I was stressing over the day after spring break. I’m happy to say that I did very well, and that I’m very happy with the outcome. I also got my UGBA essay back, and I’m also happy with the results.

Plus, I got called on twice today during UGBA discussion and I actually knew a lot about what I was talking about (Toyota and quality control). Getting called on twice during UGBA discussion is quite a rarity. Yes, it’s an intense section. So today was a great day for UGBA.

It rained at night. For some reason, every time I look outside before I actually go outside, the weather looks fine. Then, when I go outside, it’s pouring. The rain can be so cruel.

Which reminds me. I no longer use an umbrella, because I don’t have one. I lost my only one back in February, and I’ve been too lazy to get another one. Or maybe I’m just going “old-school.” That’s what I used to say back in SoCal because I would never use an umbrella when it rained. Makes absolutely no sense when you think about it, but that’s what I called it.

But that was SoCal rain. NorCal rain is oh-so-much more intense, especially when you’re on a bicycle, with no waterproof apparel. But I think I’m getting used to the cold and wet that is Berkeley. And I don’t plan on getting a new umbrella soon.

I ate dinner at Thai Basil, another restaurant at the Asian Ghetto. Delicious (and spicy) pad thai, never fails to disappoint. Wash it down with Thai Milk Tea, and the rainy day didn’t seem as bad.

I boba-carded with Madonna from ABA this afternoon. Boba-carding is just ABA speak for Cabinet bonding, and we decided to stop by Yogurtland to try out their new flavors. I love the red velvet cupcake batter. And the best thing is that it’s fat-free. That means I can balance out the fat content with extra scoops of cookie dough bits. Win.

I’m in a good mood because I finished my history paper that’s due tomorrow. I pretty much spent the entire night working on it. Looks like I’ll have to prepare my research more efficiently next time.

Another awesome thing that happened today was that I finalized my case competition team and company. I had originally planned on teaming with Jay, Pao, and Kim to do the Target Case Competition. But I got an email this afternoon saying that we signed up too late.

So I was planning on joining another one, but at the last second (right before I signed up for the other one), Target got back to us and said they would take our team for the case competition.

Right now, I’m listening to Weezer’s newest album, Raditude, which came out a while back apparently. I had no idea. Hopefully I’ll have some new music reviews coming up. I’ve been listening to several new albums.

Alright, time to finish up on homework and sleep.
