Free iPod Touch!

I’m sure you’ve received invites on Facebook to join a group and get a [insert anything of value and interest here] absolutely free, as long as you invite all your friends, etc.

I hate to break it to you, but those things are a lie. A common saying in the business world is that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Basically, you spam all your friends, end up giving out your contact info, and waste time answering stupid questions.

Instead of wasting time on lame Facebook pyramid schemes, check out The Daily Californian’s March Madness promotion. Called “Catch the Madness,” this contest is a scavenger hunt where you visit 12 participating businesses to pick up tickets and have a chance to actually win an iPod Touch.

Check out the information below:

I’ll be tabling for The Daily Cal from 12:30-1 pm tomorrow, so stop by if you have any questions. We’ve been working very hard in the ads department to get this promotion underway, so it would be awesome if you could participate, check out some new businesses, and have a chance to win an iPod Touch for a change.

I promise we won’t steal and sell your identity, and you’ll get the chance to visit new places outside of campus for a change. All the businesses should be within walking distance of campus. Good luck!
