It’s been a rainy week. Scratch that. It’s been a rainy month. I’ve learned something new at Cal: I hate the rain. It was nice the first few days.
“Ahhh, nothing like a shower to refresh the Earth,” my naive self reasoned. “It’ll be nice and sunny tomorrow.”
Or so I thought. Not only was it not sunny the next day, but it seemed to be raining even harder. Biking from my dorms to campus typically ended in soaked jeans, soaked socks, and a not-too-happy Glen.
What made it worse was that it felt like every time I looked out the window, the rain would seem to have cleared. As soon as I set foot outside, a torrential downpour would be greeting me, mocking me and dashing my hopes for a single day of dry socks.
Which is why I am looking forward to tomorrow. Because for the first time in a month, I actually see a SUN in the daily weather forecasts. Amazing. I can’t wait for the sun!
